Published in Buenos Aires in 2004 with a grant from the Pollock-Krasner Foundation, the Apocalipsis portfolio was produced by Catalina Chervin in collaboration with the Spanish poet Fernando Arrabal (born 1932). The work belongs to the artist´s ongoing engagement with the theme of apocalypse, a referente not only to her firsthand experience of the devastating military coup in Argentina (1976-83) but also to the “graphic chaos” she claims to encounter each time she starts working on a blank sheet of paper.
